22 Injured As A Car Hits Restaurant In New York City

INWOOD, Manhattan (WABC) — In the collision that occurred on Monday night in Inwood, which resulted in 22 people being injured, police are looking for a white Audi sedan that may have been involved.

It’s possible that the people inside the white Audi were involved in an argument at a gas station nearby. When they were rushing away, they collided with a Toyota Rav 4 livery car that was working as an Uber.

A little before nine o’clock in the evening, the force of the collision drove the Rav 4 careening into the front of the Inwood Bar & Grill. There were 22 people hurt, all of whom, it appears, were injured by flying glass and debris.

19 people were transported to local hospitals. The person harmed the most was a young girl of 10 years old who may have fractured her leg. She was taken to the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.

A child of age 7 was also hurt in the incident. The driver of the Rav 4, a 32-year-old man, was also taken to the hospital to treat minor injuries.

At the scene, three further victims refused to get medical treatment. When the Audi collided with the Rav4, its occupants may have been attempting to flee from a quarrel at a nearby petrol station, according to the investigation conducted by the detectives.
