Please move quickly. The mother took the phone from her daughter and said, “I don’t know what to do, my baby’s head is bleeding, what should I do? The victim’s hair made it difficult to determine the extent of the injury.
In order to stop the victim from bleeding out, dispatch later gave the mother instructions to fetch a clean towel and apply pressure to the wound.
The victim did not pass out during the procedure, but rather felt dizzy, according to the mother.
The mother described six or seven gunshots entering her home, but she was unable to identify the shooter. She was in the living room during the gunfire and was unable to observe if someone was driving past the house when dispatch questioned her about it.
Police in Dayton is looking into the incident.
