The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a shooting that occurred in Springfield on Friday and resulted in two people being hurt.
According to a press release, deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex located in the 4000 block of Dickman Road at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. When they arrived, they discovered one man being treated by his family for a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
According to the police, a second individual who had been involved in the shooting managed to flee the area.

After only a few minutes after arriving on the scene, Calhoun County Consolidated Dispatch was able to inform the responding officers that a guy had arrived at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital with what was believed to be a gunshot wound. According to the authorities, neither of the men’s injuries pose a threat to their lives.
The shooting is still being looked into by the authorities.
